"We like engaging, fair and watchable documentaries. That's what hawkinsian productions try to make."

Current projects

It's tough enough to make documentaries without funding. It's even harder to make them without enough time. Even so, Hawkinsian Productions are busy working on three new projects.

All three projects below are in currently in production.

Whistleblowers

Whistleblowers is the first Hawkinsian project that will not be self-funded. Away from the high profile cases, Whistleblowers looks at the reality for people who dare to speak out and make a stand. What would you risk for a clear conscience?

Desperately Seeking Democracy

Desperately Seeking Democracy is the most ambitious Hawkinsian Production so far. It looks at the way power works in the UK and finds it surprisingly difficult to find any real appetite for democracy in a so-called democratic country.

A Nuclear Family

In 1973, a woman called Brenda walked out on her husband and three children. Filmmaker Ian Hawkins was one of those children.

With unique access to people involved, A Nuclear Family looks at events leading up to the split, the consequences and how an ordinary family deals with them.
